We had a super fun time visiting Salt Lake over the 4th of July. Marshal’s parents hooked us up with lavish accommodations at the Lunt Chateau (thanks, Penny and Ed). Our room came with a car and a dog named Charlie. It was perfect. Here are some highlights from our trip:
Oakley Rodeo

Spending time with Marshal’s genius brother, Dave, and his cute family

Watching Allison try to shimmy…good try, Al! You’re super cute and fun even if you can’t shimmy
Visiting my beautiful mommy

Doing sparklers at the Moore house

Our nephew, James, had a Court of Honor for his Eagle Scout…did I say that right?

Boating!

Going to Eclipse with the girls
Chillin with our friends and meeting the new Mrs. Nelson
And I finally got to meet Alex and Andrea’s baby, Dexter! I love this little dude.

The day started out windy and partly cloudy. Which turned into windy and
very cloudy. Followed by
very windy and
very rainy. I had decided in the morning to move the wedding inside so we wouldn’t have to deal with the wind.

My Mom and Dad
My Girls: Jennifer, Brenda, Jessica, (Me), Heather and Samantha.
Still the best sister and Maid of Honor ever!!! She was running around making sure that everything was just the way I wanted it. I did not have to worry about anything because she was on it.
The Guys: Jens, Adam, Bryan, Derek, Baby Jack, and Pete.
My aunt Annette, Lauryn and Erin did the music for the ceremony. They did an amazing job and it really meant so much to us.

Jack took his job very seriously. There was no way he was dropping the pillow with the rings. He was a great little ring bearer.

The Orangerie was beautiful and we got married under two Palm trees. Everything was perfect, even if it was a quick change of location. During our beautiful ceremony, the rain stopped and the clouds parted.

Our Family and close Friends.
All of my family.
All of Bryan’s family.

Last weekend we took a quick trip down to St. George. The boys had so much fun! They loved the hotel. As soon as we walked in the doors Calahan started running down the hall screaming with joy. Jack always had to be the one to push the elevator buttons and open the room door with the plastic card key. Both boys did a lot of window watching from our room and jumping on the bed. Who knew how much fun a hotel could be?!
We were only there for one night and we decided to make our Sunday drive home to SLC a scenic one. We stopped off at a few of the beautiful canyons along the way. The boys loved seeing the big red rocks and climbing in the sand. We saw lots of bugs and explored through the canyons. More than anything this got me excited for all of the adventures to come. I simply love hanging out with these boys!

Last week I did a
photo shoot out at the Great Salt Lake and I fell in love with the place! I think the last time I was there I was about 7 years old. It is absolutely breathtaking with the white capped mountains, blue lake and giant Utah sky. I think early spring is the best time to go so you don’t have to deal with all of the bugs and horrific smell. Anyhow, this weekend I wanted to take my family to see this beautiful place. Since Timmy doesn’t have a job yet, we have loads of playtime with daddy and we are trying to make our activities cost as little as possible! We may have to get super creative here in a while

We invited the Birds to come with us and as always we had a fabulous time together. The kids just ran around like crazy. Jack was very interested in climbing the rocks and doing whatever mom and dad asked him
not to do. I think I am getting glimpses of what it might be like to have a teenager, and I don’t know if I can handle it!

Wowza, it feels SO GOOD to be home! You know what comes next, I’m going to tell you how much I missed all my boys. And it’s all true. It was crazy being in our old neighborhood without them. Needless to say, I partayed my little heart out in Philly and was exhausted by the end!
I have so much to tell you about my trip, like how I cried when the plane landed in Philly and then cried just about every day after that, how I was obsessed with the beautiful fall leaves and amazing scenery, how I talked all day & night with wonderful friends, how I was a crazy lady taking photos in the pouring rain! Oh the list goes on and on, but you'll have to wait until I get my feet back on the ground… I think I'll be running 100MPH to catch up here at home!

If you can’t taste them for yourself, then you can at least look at this picture and lust away. These are the best darn little apple cider doughnuts you can sink your teeth into. I feel quite lucky that I could go to Linvilla and have one myself. (And if you know me, I am mad about doughnuts…. which really contradicts my whole thinking on food, but you have to break the rules sometimes right? And most often times a doughnut is it!)
We’ll be in touch.

Yesterday I celebrated number 28.
It was one of those days that you just didn’t want to end.
I slept in late, and woke up to a house decorated by Timmy and the boys.
I was showered with kisses and hugs. It was beautiful.
Timmy and I hit the town, just the two of us.
It was magical.
We went to see Where the Wild Things Are. I loved this movie. Please go, just to see the beautiful pictures and lighting – it’s breath taking. The music is fabulous too. Go for the music, go for the visual, go for the story, leave happy.
Thanks to all you lovelies who wished me birthday wishes!
Thank you Timmy for making me Queen of the day!
xoxo

Don’t you hate blogging from a computer that’s not your own? My pictures are all out of order and this computer won’t let me switch them! Anyway, here’s a rare picture of the 4 of us taken at Wheeler Farm last week. This one and the one of my Grandma were taken by
Katie...
I’ve spent the last 4 evenings with this beautiful woman, whom I’m named after, and some of her descendants. I’ve always loved my Grandparents and my appreciation for them continues to grow as I get older. I always miss my Grandpa at these events, and on Sundays, and on any special occasion in my life. What wonderful examples they’ve been to me…

I hate my camera. Ghetto. Not that I’m that great of a photographer, but seriously?! Why are half of my pictures fuzzy? You get what you pay for, I guess. Anyway, yesterday Chase found Nick’s church socks and insisted that I put them on him. He wore them all day. They made for an awesome outfit…

I really really like these two…

Like I mentioned above, we went to Wheeler Farm the other day. My kids loved seeing the animals and “driving” all the old tractors…

Chase and Calahan, searching for and picking up rocks…

Brad and I went away for a couple of days last week FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 3 YEARS! Needless to say, it was very much needed and also highly appreciated. Here we are standing in the exact spot where Brad proposed over 6 years ago…

And the Utah fun isn’t even half-way over yet! Being spoiled by my parents, having Tim and Katie and boys right downstairs, hanging out with my siblings…I honestly think we could all live in the same house forever…and that I could stay here forever!

On Saturday Bryan told me that he wanted to take me on a real date this weekend not one of our Home Depot dates. So we were going to go to the Zoo and then out to dinner.
Thank you Bryan for the amazing weekend. Everything was perfect and I love you so much.
