Video Housekeeping

July 2nd, 2010 Classmate Blogs No comments

We’ve just tidied up the video page a little to make it more user friendly.  You can check it out here: http://www.danandcarolyn.info/videos/ , in the meantime we’re updating our gallery with our Spring Break videos as well as everything between then and Mikey’s 4th Birthday videos (soon).  Latest videos are displayed on the side bar, but just because the video changed doesn’t mean that it’s the only one updated, make sure to check out the playlist for all the videos in between your last visit.  Enjoy!

Disney Fan Alert

April 1st, 2010 Classmate Blogs No comments

Kyle started a Disney/Pixar fan blog with some friends of ours and it’s actually turning out to be pretty cool! We’ve got a good mix of Disney geeks on board, so if you’re a fan you should check it out. We’re also hoping to add some new writers soon! (J.Darling, that comment was directly directed at you, dear)

Check out the new blog here: DIS PIX FIX. (I’ll also add the link to the bottom of this blog, since I’m a contributor.)

Update on the Napa-ness

February 17th, 2010 Classmate Blogs No comments

Good news:

  • My husband arrives tomorrow for a four day weekend! I’m still buried in work, but we’re going to escape to the city to see that new Disney museum…
  • I checked another thing off my 101 in 1001 when I got my name in The Napa Valley Register as one of the people working on Beauty and the Beast. My amazing Aunt Carole was all over the article, so you should go check it out.
  • I also checked off my ten days of volunteer service. And I have the circle skirts to prove it!

Bad news:

  • I’m apparently operating in a world where dressing all of the chorus members up in costumes reminiscent of Easter eggs on acid is perfectly acceptable behavior.
  • Making a human-sized teapot is at the top of my least-favorite-things-on-Earth list.
  • Indulging in the local cuisine is doing nothing good for my waistline. I might need to buy an extra airplane seat for the ride home.

Hope all of your lives out in the real world are going swimmingly! I’ll report back again when the most important part of my day doesn’t involve making sure the skirts on the napkin kick line are properly fitted…

Today

January 29th, 2010 Classmate Blogs No comments

Today has just been one of those days when you feel like you are running around without your head! And on top of that the house is a disaster, messes everywhere, nothing is going as planned, the car is on empty, I have yet to shower, I feel like we will be jobless and poor forever, I have no desire to accomplish anything and all I want to do is eat comfort food and crawl back in bed! Please tell me I’m not the only one who has these kind of days! Before Tim left, he lifted my chin and says, “Cheer up Charlie!” If only it was that easy. Sigh… Thank goodness for blogs and people who like to listen to other people complain… I think I am beginning to feel a little bit better now that I’ve let it all out.

On a brighter more cheery note, I am now booking mini-studio sessions. And if you want to send out some love to those you love I have a special Valentine special. Go check it out!

Reasons to Love Washington 2

August 30th, 2009 Dan No comments

While in WA we went up to Sequim for the annual Lavender Festival. Sequim is the lavender capital of North America so obviously I had to check it out. Plus, that’s where Pete had proposed to me so I wanted to go back. This is what we found.

One of the lavender farms

Apparently even the dogs go all out

Side detour to where Pete took me to eat after he proposed, only then it was night and the moonlight was over the water, but the food is incredible.

We also went up to the Olympic Game Farm which has lots of animals that you can feed bread to. It’s pretty fun, and for being a fairly small area you get to see a lot. We seriously thought our car at one point would be tipped over by some of the buffalo. One of them kept sticking his long gooey tongue in the car searching for food. We tried rolling up the windows, but he would stick his tongue in there at the last moment. We had buffalo drool all over the car by the end. Here are some of our favorites.

This one would not leave us alone. He was HUGE!
