It is what it is because of the parents he has…..
Soccer…
Oh, but wait. Lest you think everything runs smoothly, let me assure you that Nick will only participate in class if he has Daddy on “his team.” So yes, he is the oldest and the biggest in the class (besides Brad) and he is also the only one that must be touching his parent the entire time. I think we’re all ready for the clinic to be over. Especially Brad.
I guess we’re not quite out of this phase yet. I love this silly little boy!

The children will learn very valuable things when they spend time with auntie nat
As much as I would love to do an entire post on how fabulous my trip to Mexico was, I’ll spare you. Not because I don’t love to make people hate me, but because a trip recap post is the last thing I want to do. And, probably the last thing you really want to read.
However, I will transcribe two of my favorite conversations that happened while in Mexico in hopes that this will appease my 10 readers.
Hannah (my niece): Natalie, are you going to get married soon?
Me: I don’t know sweetie. I have to find someone to date first.
Hannah: Oh. (seeming very disappointed)
Parker (my nephew): But didn’t you have a date with someone the night before we came here?
Me: Yes I did. But that was only one date. I have to go on lots and lots of dates with one person before I can get married.
Parker: Like 100 dates?
Me: Yes, like 100 dates.
Hannah: Wow, that’s a lot.
Parker: Good luck with that.
Ok, Parker really didn’t say the last line. He’s only 5 and hasn’t quite mastered such quick wit. I’ll do my due diligence as an auntie and teach him how to be a smart ass. He’ll love me so much.
And at dinner:
Me: Jinny, how was your day today?
Jinny: Marvelous. I didn’t do a damn thing.
Like grandmother, like granddaughter.
k. I guess I can post some pictures.

first things first
this past week has been chaotic. We started out the week with a baby blessing and then ended the week with another baby blessing. In the middle of all that we picked up Riley's glasses. They had to clip the back of the ears so they can put the loop backs on and after 2 trips to get them readjusted I think we finally have a good fit. At first he kept trying to take them off but now they don't seem to bother him. Maybe that's a good sign that they are actually helping him. All I've gotta say is that he's pretty much the cutest boy in glasses EVER!
Like I said earlier we had two baby blessings this past week. Courtney was blessed on Feb. 7 and Makayla was blessed Feb. 14. Both the girls looked so pretty in their white dresses.

For Shelly…
He also went through this phase about the same time. Lean-over-to-the-side phase. It was pretty funny.
And yet again…
Last but not least, a big cheeser. I think this is the only real smile we’ve ever gotten a picture of and hopefully it isn’t the last. My smile did not come easily as a child and I remember vividly my mother coaching me in anticipation for my school picture every year. I must say he does have the squinty eyes down already, a personal trademark.I guess I’ll try to go get some sleep.

ummmm…..
Today I was told, ” You look tired.”
I have no response. Just… blank.
Was this person stating the obvious?
I mean- I’m 8 months pregnant and caring for a home and a two-year old, so yeah, I’m tired.
But not exhausted. Or run-down, haggard or drained.
Just a little tired.
Maybe it’s the glasses I was wearing. Or no mascara. Or maybe just bad lighting.
I guess it’s bedtime for me at 9 pm tonight.

Little girl larger flower clips $7; Circle clips $5
Adult flower clips and pins: Range from $8-12
Beautiful, comfortable, and stylish headbands – $15

(FYI – in the black tool picture, there is a little piece of gray string on the headband, it is not actually on the headband, just was accidentally on it in the picture and I didn’t notice, sorry!)

Pumpkin cookies were so much more of a success
Sloane is such a little copycat. I love it! she was either standing on the side or kneeling on the bottom stair (or bawling because she wanted me to hold her up so she could see) the whole time. Stockton is so proud!
WOW!!!
